Architectural surface specialist Cosentino has launched two new collections, Le Chic Bohème by Silestone® XM and Dekton Pietra Edition, continuing the brand’s mission to produce sustainable, durable and innovative surfaces that seamlessly blend into and enhance any contemporary space, whether indoors or out. Inspired by the sophistication and bohemian flair of the French capital, Le Chic Bohème’s four new colours are distinguished by their unique shades, veining and patterns. The rich green Jardin Emerald has a sophisticated pattern of gold and metallic veins and black and cream colour notes; the warm white background of the Rivière Rose is detailed with taupe and pale pink; the earthy Château Brown gets metallic, copper and bronze veining; and the bright cream Blanc Élysèe is embellished with delicate gold, grey and copper veining.

More than just an aesthetic choice, Silestone surfaces are designed to last, with unique technical characteristics that make the materials durable and robust. Fabricated with new technologies and a hybrid formulation of raw and recycled materials, Silestone is hardy, easy to clean and has a high colour consistency. What’s more, Cosentino’s patented Hybriq+® technology means that the Le Chic Bohème collection is manufactured using 99 per cent recycled water and 100 per cent renewable energy, and includes almost a quarter recycled raw materials in its composition.

The Dekton Pietra Edition collection, on the other hand, evokes the spirit of the Mediterranean, with textural surfaces that bring to mind oceanside villas. The expanded styles follow on from Argentinian architect and designer Daniel Germani’s Pietra Kode collection, in which he reinterpreted three classic Italian stones. This time, Germani looked to the stones of the Mediterranean — Travertine, Piasentina, Ceppo Di Gré and Campaspero — combining Cosentino’s innovative technology and the unrivalled durability of Dekton with the stones’ timeless appeal. The four textures and six styles are tied together by cream and beige tones and soft white and grey veining.

The carbon-neutral Dekton Pietra Edition collection makes use of the Dekton ultra-compact porcelain surface, its production process and materiality making it a high-performance material in comparison to traditional porcelain, and one that is that is resistant to UV rays, scratches, stains and thermal shock, and with low water absorption.

As part of Cosentino’s commitment to sustainability and a circular economic model, some Dekton® colours incorporate up to 85% recycled materials from the product’s own manufacturing process. Dekton has also earned carbon-neutral product certification for its entire colour portfolio, making it the only cradle-to-grave carbon-neutral surface.
