Curated by Marisa Yiu and Zheng Zhou of Design Trust, Design Trust Futures Festival is a new micro-festival that invites Design Trust researchers, scholars, global partners and designers to participate in and share their ongoing work. The initiative is conceptualised to shape and test ideas and speculate on the future of spaces, urbanism and the role of creativity as we respond to global conversations around sustainability, placemaking, and the role of tourism, culture and heritage of Hong Kong within the Greater Bay Area in an international context.

Design Trust Futures Festival 2025: The Art of Transformation collaborates with over 60 designers, artists, architects and curators over a three-month programme of five key exhibitions and multiple public space installations at Murray House, Stanley Plaza. The 19th-century Victorian-era building sets the stage for new perspectives on material ecologies and ocean connectivity between the 263 islands of Hong Kong.
