Opening of Life & Death organised by Friends & Associates

This exhibition is a matter of Life & Death. Life & Death will present designed outcomes by creative practitioners looking at both the life of an object: functionality, utility, cultural or social intent, speculation or experimentation – whilst in parallel putting equal emphasis on the death of the object: what happens to the object once it’s reached it’s end of life? 

Contributors include Whiting Architects, Breathe Architecture, Jonathan Ben-Tovim, BMDO, Sarah Ceravolo, Thomas Coward, Derlot, Ash Allen and Morgan Doty, Alexi Freeman, Olive Gill-Hille, James Lemon, Dr Areli Avendano Franco, Dr Judith Glover, Dr Liam Fennessy, Dr Simon Lockrey and Jacylyn Pokrovsky, Lucy Jenkins & William Pattison, Kristoffer Paulsen, Seaweed Appreciation Society International and Long Prawn, Mark Richardson, Joshua Waït and Phoebe Richardson, Liane Rossler, Makiko Ryujin, Cordon Salon, Vert Design, Skeehan Studio, Flack Studio, ACV Studio, March Studio, Mycelium Studios and Matt Woods, Charlie White and Damien WrightLife & Death is supported by RMIT School Of Design and Design Anthology. Life & Death is part of Melbourne Design Week 2020, an initiative of the Victorian Government in collaboration with the NGV.

Exhibition is on from 12-21 March, 10am-5pm daily
