Singapore Design Week (SDW) made its much-anticipated return in 2022 after a two-year hiatus. It was relaunched with a brand new vision that demonstrates Singapore’s distinctive brand of creativity, exploring design through three defining pillars: Design Futures, Design Marketplace and Design Impact. United by these festival pillars, SDW 2022 brought together more than 50 events and 200 designers over 10 days, and welcomed over 300,000 local, regional and international visitors.

This year, the festival returns from 21 September to 1 October 2023 with the theme ‘Better by Design’. Singapore design embodies a universal attitude – the desire to always seek to make lives better using design. The motto ‘Better by Design’ reflects DesignSingapore Council’s commitment to champion design and creativity that helps us to meet complex challenges and shape a better future. Marking our twentieth anniversary, we adopt this resourceful spirit for SDW 2023, coalescing design that is born from a strong sense of creative purpose and crafted for positive impact.
