Business of Design Week 2023 Spotlights Game Changers
The 2023 edition of Hong Kong’s leading annual design and innovation conference will present a robust programme focused on urban planning and new urban models, transformative brands and consumer experience, and technology and future trends
With topics ranging from Japanese aesthetics to mobility design and urban transformation, the 2023 Business of Design Week (BODW) aims to ‘empower audiences to set ambitious goals and drive innovation, contributing to sustainable businesses and communities’.
Organised by Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), Business of Design Week is the region’s foremost event on design, innovation and brands. Taking place from 29 November to 1 December in Hong Kong, the flagship summit will be held at Freespace in the West Kowloon Cultural District.
Produced in collaboration with the Netherlands and CreativeNL, an initiative of the Dutch creative industry, this year’s edition of BODW is themed around Game Changers, those who are transforming industries and initiating meaningful change.
During the three-day conference, more than 50 international, regional and local creative leaders will present some 30 thought-provoking keynotes, Power Talks and panel discussions based on three key subjects: Urban Planning and New Urban Models, Transformative Brands and Consumers’ Experience, and AI, Technology and Future Trends. The speaker lineup includes luminaries such as Kenya Hara, Winy Maas, Ben van Berkel, Dr Wang Jian and Jiang Qiong Er.
The BODW programme goes beyond Freespace, activating the city with the BODW City Programme, Fashion Asia Hong Kong, DFA Awards and the GBA Creative Night, as well as concurrent events including DesignInspire, deTour, Hong Kong Denim Festival, the Leadership Forum on Design Education, and the Business of IP Asia Forum.
