Chicago Athletic Association

Chicago Athletic Association

To step inside the newly restored Chicago Athletic Association building is to journey back in time to the Chicago World’s fair of 1893 — the same year the building was originally completed by revered architect Henry Ives Cobb. Roman and Williams have preserved the original character of the interiors, while bringing the lodge aesthetic firmly into the 21st century. Thus, colossal fireplaces with original bas-relief woodcarvings and 19th-century stained glass mix with a modern masculine palette of lacquered wooden furniture and tobacco-hued leather. Grab a cigar and settle in.
