Taking place from 26–29 November, this year’s edition promises to build on the strong start of the 2024 version, bridging the country and region with the global design industry

With proof of concept under its belt and a solidified position leading into its second edition, plus a strong roster of exhibitors and collaborators, Design Mumbai has established itself on the global design calendar. From its home at the Jio World Garden, Mumbai’s premier events venue and a setting in the city’s cultural heart, the event offers a meticulously selected, elevated experience of Indian and international design, with curated exhibitor presentations and thoughtful programming.

The second iteration builds on the 2024 version, which filled a long-standing gap in India’s design landscape for an event that provides both local and global brands with a meaningful engagement platform. The audience of architects, interior designers, product designers, developers and media generated a tangible sense of excitement, while the attention from international visitors and institutions placed India firmly on the global design map.

This year’s show aims to expand its reach with an even greater focus on global collaboration, innovation and forward thinking. From pioneering materials to next-generation workspaces, the event gives both emerging designers and global brands opportunities for learning and collaboration.

Indeed, one of Design Mumbai’s most defining elements is its role in showcasing India’s diverse creative power. While global brands bring strong international appeal to the show, it’s the vibrancy and ingenuity of Indian design that sets the scene: handcrafted furniture, lighting design, textiles and architecture by Indian studios are telling powerful stories through form, material and process. The 2025 show sees exhibitors blending tradition and technology, and honouring heritage and innovation.

Design Mumbai also offers unmatched opportunities for global brands seeking a foothold in India, one of the world’s fastest-growing design and consumer markets. One of the most anticipated installations at Design Mumbai 2025 is the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) showcase, which highlights a landmark collaboration with Indian manufacturer Phantom Hands. The stand brings together voices from around the world, including Adam Markowitz, X+I, Chandigarh Collective and Inode+Sveje. Using sustainable American hardwoods, the designers have created a cross-cultural collection that bridges continents and is united by craft, with several pieces debuting at the show.

Other notable exhibitors include Hästens, Istituto Marangoni, Ceccotti, USM, Lila, Loco Design, Hearty Muse, Light Forms Asia, Infiniti and Vondom (presented by ABACA).

Alongside, an array of emerging names benefit from the Design Mumbai platform. Furniture design studio Chacko is exhibiting for the first time, bringing work that ranges from console and side tables to desks and a newly launching swing. Inspired by mid-century, Japanese, Tanjore and industrial design principles, the studio’s work is thoughtful, arresting and entirely unique. Sarvatva, named after the Indian philosophy of wholeness, is also exhibiting for the first time, displaying work based on its mission to reintroduce Indian culture and craft to the world.

The 2025 edition also sees a growing number of exhibitors who operate at the intersection of art and design. Muse Create offers bespoke artworks and functional pieces as part of its holistic interior design offering. Threadarte Studio, founded by textile artists Rahul Jain and Gunjan Arora, is showing its textile installations crafted from repurposed waste, both challenging traditional notions of art and design and literally weaving sustainability and symbolism into large-scale visual works. HoboHouz showcases Aari hand-embroidery, or khatla-work, an intricate needle technique brought into the contemporary design market by founder Varsha Patra.

As a platform for the exchange of ideas, Design Mumbai also features the Design Mumbai Exchange, the show’s cultural anchor offering panel discussions, lectures and workshops. The 2025 version builds on 2024, with sessions focused on sectors such as workspace, hospitality, residential and retail transformation, and subjects from  AI in architecture to sustainable hospitality and hybrid workspaces.

Design Mumbai is is a meeting ground for creativity, commerce and culture. With a commitment to curation, quality and connectivity, the event is designed to redefine how India engages with global design, and how the global design community engages with India.
