A Symphony of Wellness

A Symphony of Wellness

Bespoke home-solutions provider HKT Premier recently curated the ‘iot in Style³’ exhibition dedicated to mindful fitness and the intelligent home office.

The Hong Kong brand’s exhibition on the Internet of Things is intended to highlight and showcase innovative, state-of-the-art smart home technology that contributes to a well-balanced life.

In addition to the showcase, HKT Premier also offers a range of high-end brands to enhance the experience of a seamlessly connected, intelligent home. The company partnered with architect Florence Kong and American furniture design brand Herman Miller to design and curate two rooms, ‘My Chamber’ and ‘My Workplace’, to re-imagine a home and work space respectively that meets the needs of modern life.

Kong conceived ‘My Chamber’ as modern expression of personal space made possible by intelligence and organic design. ‘My Chamber’ is completely user-centred and features a powerful assortment of intelligent appliances, such as the GROHE AquaSymphony home spa. For GROHE, this is a particularly significant collaboration, since HKT Premier is known for selecting only the best in digital and home automation products.

As an international brand built on quality, exceptional design and sustainability, GROHE has since its inception consistently developed new product categories. GROHE was the first in its industry to win the German government’s CSR prize and was also featured on Fortune magazine’s 2017 Change the World list.

In 2017, GROHE was the recipient of more than 60 design awards, and has won another 12 so far this year. Their trophy cabinet includes five Red Dot Design Awards (Europe), three Good Design Awards (Japan) and the International Design Excellence Award (USA).

The AquaSymphony has itself won GROHE two ICONIC Awards and the iF Product Design Award. In GROHE’s home spa, revolutionary technology, exceptional design and understated luxury come together to reinvent the shower experience, using water, lighting and sound to elevate the shower experience to something altogether new: a sensory wellness zone in your own home.

The interplay between water, sound and lighting is inspired by some of the world’s most breathtaking locations: the mists of Tierra del Fuego, the tropical rain in Bali, the night sky of Tromvik, the sounds of the Sydney Opera House and the spray of Iceland’s Skógafoss waterfall.

With the GROHE SPA App for Apple and Android devices, you can control the light, sound and steam from one intelligent control system. The impressive variety of shower functions includes calming rain spray, the soft and surreal AquaCurtain, a cascading waterfall spray, and the tension-relieving massage function of the Bokoma sprays. You can also turn your shower into an invigorating steam bath complete with aromatherapy oils, immerse yourself in coloured lighting to enjoy the benefits of chromotherapy, and select sounds based on your mood.

The GROHE AquaSymphony rejuvenates the senses and relaxes the mind, allowing you to attain wellness from the comfort of your own home.

The iot in Style³ exhibition runs until December 2018 at the io.t by HKT concept store in Elements, Hong Kong.
