Vibe Hotel

With a design inspired by Walter Burley Griffin’s original urban plan for Canberra based on circular geometrics, architectural practice Bates Smart has unveiled the striking Vibe Hotel in Australia’s capital city. Situated adjacent to the city’s new airport terminal, the building is centred on a dramatic full-height circular atrium; it features 191 rooms including 12 suites and nine apartments as well as conference facilities, a restaurant and bar, and lounges. Circular references play out through furnishings and subtle patterns while finishes are warm, focusing on bronzed natural tones and textures.
